Dota 2 patch 7.25a brings nerfs to Bounty Hunter, Meepo, Night Stalker, Ursa and Visage

Dota 2 patch 7.25 was released yesterday and today, Valve released what has to be one of the smallest patches ever released in the form of Dota 2 patch 7.25a. The patch is just literally minor nerfs to five heroes who seemed to be a bit too good after the release of patch 7.25. The five heroes in question are Bounty Hunter, Meepo, Night Stalker, Ursa and Visage. Here are the changes the patch brings with it:

As mentioned above, these are just small changes based on the early observations of patch 7.25. After the patch was released, both Bounty Hunter and Ursa saw a spike in their pick rate and win rate.

Any time a big patch is released, there are always bound to be a few heroes who are over powered and need to be balanced, which is exactly what has happened here. Because of Bounty’s new Scepter, mid Bounty who rushes Aghs has become popular. Ursa’s new Enrage is what earned him his popularity. Visage’s +6 Gravekeeper’s Cloak stacks made it impossible to kill him unless the attacking hero had a certain threshold attack speed. Those issues are bound to decline with patch 7.25a.

This patch doesn’t change anything massively. A lot of new heroes can be seen in high level pubs and new heroes is what we will get when the online tournaments, WeSave! Charity Play and the Chinese Dota 2 League begin.
