January 2020 is set to be packed with CSGO

With the new year nearly upon us, January is set to be packed with plenty of Counter-Strike to make up for the lack therefore in recent weeks.

With the main standalone events being DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 and it’s $100,000 alongside the start of the inaugural BLAST Premier Spring Series 2020 with $300,000 up for grabs along with points towards a spot in the latter stages of the series.

Several qualifiers are set to take place as well with teams from Asia, North America, Europe, and the Oceanic region all competing in closed qualifiers for IEM Katowice 2020. In addition, WESG’s Brazilian, Mexican, and LATAM portions will be played out including the WESG 2019 Brazil Finals at the end of the month.

Also kicking off at the end of the month and running through February first is the first open qualifier for the Europe Minor. Teams will be looking to make it one step closer to ESL One Rio 2020, the first Major of the year.

  • IEM Katowice 2020 Europe Closed Qualifier – January 9-10

  • IEM Katowice 2020 Oceania Closed Qualifier – January 14-16
  • WESG 2019 LATAM North – January 18-19
  • WESG 2019 Mexico – January 18-19
  • DreamHack Open Leipzing 2020 – January 24-26 – $100,000
  • WESG 2019 Brazil Finals – January 21 – $4,375
  • BLAST Premier Spring Series 2020 – January 31-February 21 – $300,000
  • Europe Minor Open Qualifier 1 – ESL One Rio 2020 – January 31-February 1
