Marcos Gaming Signs Live Media Rights Deal With Loco
Indian esports organization Marcos Gaming has signed a partnership deal with Pocket Aces’ Loco for live media content streaming, facilitated by Marcos’ marketing agency Baseline Ventures. This partnership will showcase Marcos Gaming team’s top athletes streaming exclusive content on Loco.
The move is yet another deal struck by Loco to add to a growing list of names who will be on the platform. This includes Fnatic, Red Bull, and the NBA 2K League. Loco also partnered with individual content creators and professional players to conduct live streams on the platform, although many of these aren’t exclusive deals. This has allowed content creators the freedom to continue to stream on bigger platforms such as YouTube and leverage their audience for occasional and unique streams on Loco. The platform has also tried to create their own esports IPs, mostly related to PUBG MOBILE, by conducting tournaments featuring top teams in the South Asian region. The Loco app has over 10M downloads on the Google Play Store.
Marcos Gaming was created in December 2019, following the growth of mobile gaming in the region. The organization picked up one of the top prospects in the Indian PUBG MOBILE scene at the time, a team known as Zero Degree Esports. In April 2020, the organization announced its entry into Call of Duty: Mobile with another roster pickup. Its PUBG MOBILE squad is well known in the region and was a part of the recent PUBG MOBILE Pro League South Asia. The organization also fields a roster in Free Fire.
