Sources: Team Vitality could replace 'Cabochard' for 2021
Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet started his career as a professional League of Legends player in the early times, back in 2013, with a team called Escape the Ninja Pandas. For a couple of years, he jumped from one team to another, highlighting among them Gambit Gaming or Ninjas in Pyjamas, and finally, at the end of 2015, the french top laner found his home.
That was the year Cabochard joined Team Vitality, to play with other European legends like Nukeduck, Hjärnan or kaSing, and set one of the most powerful rosters in the LCS EU.
During his career, the top laner got strong in his position, setting himself as an essential of Vitality’s roster, becoming a captain, and always proving it in the games… but all his efforts barely got rewarded.
Team Vitality has always been a half-board team, with some ups and downs. The best year of them was 2018 when they managed to qualify for the World Championship, and once there were able to beat Gen.G and RNG.
From that year, Cabochard’s performance has decreased day by day, and his team has just ended the worst year of their history, with a 10th and 9th position in both LEC Splits respectively.
That is probably why we have woken up with this announcement today:

According to Jacob Wolf, from ESPN, Team Vitality is going to acquire a new top laner, Mathias ‘Szygenda‘ Jensen, a 19 years old top laner that is currently playing in the Polish Ultraliga with Rogue’s academy team, with whom Szygenda has won this Summer’s European Masters.
This roster change has been rumored for a while, and now seems to be confirmed by several sources. Nevertheless, no further information about it has been provided.
