Virtus.pro look to return to the top as Artstyle makes his return

Ivan ‘Artstyle’ Antonov is an extremely well-known face in both
the CIS and global Dota 2 community and is now making his return to Virtus.pro to
coach the squad once again.

Virtus.pro’s recent form has been quite staggered, with the team
winning the local Parimatch League Season 3 most recently, but also being
eliminated in fourth, fifth/sixth in recent events involving both CIS and European
teams – OGA Dota PIT Online and Beyond EPIC. While there have been many rumours
of roster changes that may be coming, nothing has been confirmed or announced until
earlier today when and old face returned to their ranks, Ivan ‘Artstyle’
Antonov.

Confirmed in a post on their official website and Twitter, VP have
announced the return of Artstyle to a coaching role on the roster, having last
coached the team back between 2017 and 2018 – a period which saw VP at one of
their highest points. Artstyle is probably best known for his time spent with
Natus Vincere as a player when they claimed the very first TI victory all the
way back in 2011 – but since then, his time as a player has not been met with
all-out success. However, as coach, Artstyle definitely seems to bring out the
best in VP.

Sergey Glamazda, General Manager at Virtus.pro had the following
to say on the return of the famed coach,

“Glad to welcome Ivan to our club! He already helped the team to reach an incredible level in the past and we are sure that his experience and understanding of the game will allow us to improve once again.”

The current VP roster is:

  • Igor ‘iLTW’ Filatov
  • Vladmiri ‘No[o]ne’ Minenko
  • Roman ‘Resolut1on’ Fominok
  • Bakyt ‘Zayac’ Emilzhanov
  • Alexei ‘Solo’ Berezin
  • Ivan ‘Artstyle’ Antonov (Coach)

We won’t have to wait too long to see exactly what Artstyle brings
to the VP roster as the team are preparing for their opening matchups at OMEGA
League: Europe Immortal Division’s group stage, which kicks off on August 14th,
2020.
