Cult Of The Lamb Launches On August 11

Cult of the Lamb is one of the more adorable games Devolver Digital is publishing, and we now have a release date. Revealed during Devolver Digital's yearly bonkers showcase, Cult of the Lamb is set to launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. If you want to check the game out right now, there's actually a demo available to download right this minute.

In case you've never heard of the game, it was first announced way back in August last year and is a hack-and-slash roguelike that incorporates many elements from different games of its genre to create something wholly unique. Of course, the first thing you should notice is that the game has a fairly adorable exterior, but has rather twisted mechanics embedded within the game. It's kind of like Animal Crossing if Tom Nook started hanging out with Jared Leto.

We didn't have a specific release date for the title before today, but thanks to a new trailer from Devolver Digital, now we do. While this trailer doesn't really give us any new information about Cult of the Lamb apart from the release date, it does give us a closer look at some of the gameplay and sets the general tone for what the game will be like when it drops in a couple of months.

In other news, it's been a big day of announcements today, as Devolver Digital's showcase followed what was a jam-packed Summer Game Fest showcase. While the show was light on big reveals, we did get the reveal of Guile in Street Fighter 6 as well as an extended look at The Callisto Protocol. There were also a couple of new reveals as well, including the confirmation that a remake of The Last of Us is in development, and a spooky space game featuring Troy Baker and Roger Clark.

Cult of the Lamb will launch on August 11 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
