Destroy All Humans remake trailer brings in a heavy metal alien invasion
THQ Nordic has revealed the first trailer for the Destroy All Humans remake, and it certainly leaves an impression.
After news of the game’s existence leaked last week, an official cinematic trailer has debuted on IGN showing the aliens wreaking havoc to the sounds of Rammstein.
There’s no gameplay in the trailer, but the remake will be developed by Black Forest Games (Giana Sisters) and is confirmed to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2020.
The original Destroy All Humans! was an open world action game which released on PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2005, spawning sequels Destroy All Humans! 2, Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed and Destroy All Humans! Path Of The Furon.
The announcement follows the reveal of THQ Nordic game Darksiders Genesis, a spin-off from the main series featuring horseman of the apocalypse Strife.
A synopsis reads: ‘In Darksiders Genesis, the fourth Horseman Of The Apocalypse STRIFE is called upon to save humankind from certain destruction at the hands of Lucifer.
‘True to its roots, Darksiders Genesis will feature intense combat, exploration, puzzle solving, epic boss battles and serpent holes from heaven to hell. The game marks the first, full-scale Darksiders adventure played from the top-down perspective.’
Darksiders Genesis will release on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, with no release date yet announced.
