Discord is finally adding folders to bring some order to your gaming social life

One of Discord’s most requested features is finally being added. The company announced on Thursday afternoon that it is finally bringing server folders to Discord to help users keep their server list a little more organized. The announcement came via a short and odd YouTube video on Discord’s official channel.

Discord has long touted itself as one of the most popular places on the internet to build communities and interact with fellow members of a fandom. But organization has never been a strong-suit for the app. With dozens of servers to keep track of, navigating Discord could become a painful experience, but the new folders feature should help out a little bit.

The folders themselves work exactly the way you would expect. You can drag and drop servers into different folders, rename or color code each folder, and even dismiss notifications by folder. Folders will also be synced across all devices, including the browser version of Discord, the desktop app, and the mobile app to make sure you stay organized wherever you’re at.
