Genshin Impact: Best Weapons For Layla
The enemies in the huge world of Teyvat are unforgiving, and they'll take every chance they can to get an advantage on you. To deal with the dangers in Genshin Impact, you can summon different characters and find what you're comfortable with. Once you pull a certain character, the next step is to find their best weapon.
Layla is a four-star sword-wielding character with a Cryo vision, and she is a student at the Sumeru Akademiya. The developers have inserted her sleepy personality in her attack pattern since she's the only sword user who has a combination of three attacks.
6/6 Cool Steel – Three Star
The best part about this weapon is that it's a three-star weapon that you can randomly get whenever you wish on any of the banners in Genshin Impact. If you've been playing the game for over a month, you most likely have enough of these swords to bring one of them to refinement five.
Apart from giving the ATK Percent boost as the main stat, Cool Steel buffs Layla's damage by 24 percent because most of her damage is Cryo. The ATK boost isn't the best on her because everything except the stars from her Elemental Skill scale on her HP. Although, you'll be getting a lot of damage from these stars as well, making the stat decent.
5/6 Iron Sting
Iron Sting is one of the perfect fits for Layla because of the Elemental Mastery and increase in Elemental DMG. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of swords with HP Percent as the main stat, forcing players to use a weapon with a different stat. Elemental Mastery is her second-best main stat because of the off-field Cryo application.
While Layla can protect her party members with a strong shield, that's not the only part she's good at. If you can trigger enough Elemental Skills for other characters, you can have a lot of single-target Cryo application from her Elemental Skill and Burst. This incentivizes players to use her in Freeze or Melt teams.
The Elemental Mastery from Iron Sting can increase the effectiveness of these reactions, and you can also deal higher Cryo DMG from the passive (up to 24 percent).
4/6 Haran Geppaku Futsu – Five Star
Haran Geppaku Futsu is Kamisato Ayato's signature weapon, and it's one of the best if you want to use Layla as a damage dealer. This is a limited five-star weapon, so it can be quite hard for free-to-play and low-spending players to get their hands on this weapon, let alone bring it to refinement five.
Its passive gives Layla a 12 percent Elemental DMG bonus, and the Crit Rate from the main stat allows you to have a better time farming artifacts for her. Moreover, her Elemental Skill depends on other characters using their Elemental Skill, and it's the same for this weapon.
If you're using it on Layla, you'd want to start with her Elemental Skill and switch off to the other characters in your party to use their Skills. This will give you a bunch of stars that can deal damage to enemies. When you trigger your Elemental Skill again, you'll gain a Normal attack DMG bonus from this weapon.
3/6 Primordial Jade Cutter
Layla can use everything that Primordial Jade Cutter gives her. Apart from a whopping 44 percent Crit Rate at the maximum level, the weapon also gives her 20 percent extra HP at refinement one. You will also get an extra ATK bonus based on your HP, which can increase the damage output from the stars in your Elemental Skill.
Unfortunately, Primordial Jade Cutter is another limited five-star weapon that can only be acquired when it's featured on the weapon banner. It's one of the best all-rounder weapons in the game because it can suit almost any damage-dealing character.
Going over to Kazuha's signature weapon, Freedom-Sworn is like a five-star counterpart to Iron Sting. The Elemental Mastery provided by this weapon's main stat can go as high as 198. This is higher than the EM you can get on any artifact piece even if you have it as the main stat.
Layla has a constellation that increases other party members' Normal and Charged attack DMG when her Elemental Skill starts shooting the stars. After triggering a couple of Elemental reactions, you can also give a Normal and Charged attack DMG buff to your teammates from Freedom-Sworn.
Both of these buffs stack, making this weapon perfect for using Layla as an off-field support. Moreover, the weapon also gives extra ATK Percent to the surrounding party members. If you're using this weapon, your Layla will be able to protect her team, trigger different reactions, and buff their damage directly.
1/6 Key of Khaj-Nisut
This weapon first appeared alongside Nilou in the second phase of Genshin Impact's Version 3.1 update. During its release, it was the first weapon with HP Percent as the main stat, which already makes it the best choice for Layla. She needs as much HP as possible for a stronger barrier and bigger damage from her Elemental Burst.
Not only does this weapon give Layla the stat she requires the most, but it also increases her entire team's Elemental Mastery whenever the Elemental Skill hits an opponent. These two stats make this weapon the perfect choice for the sleepy Akademiya student.
