George RR Martin and From Software video game Elden Ring leaks before E3
George R.R. Martin’s rumoured collaboration with developer From Software has been leaked ahead of E3, along with a number of surprises.
A link hosted on Bandai Namco’s servers was widely circulated online (via Gematsu) which appeared to confirm the existence of a game titled Elder Ring from the Game Of Thrones author and Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki.
A description for Elder Rings says it’s a fantasy action-RPG adventure ‘set within a world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki’ – so it’s unclear if the game itself will be directed by him, if the leak is true.
‘Danger and discovery lurk around every corner in FromSoftware’s largest game to-date,’ the description adds.
George R.R. Martin previously confirmed he had ‘consulted on a video game out of Japan’ in a recent blog post, following rumours earlier this year he was teaming up with the developer.
According to the leak, Bandai Namco is also set to announce a new Tales game titled Tales Of Arise, along with a port of Ni No Kuni for Nintendo Switch, and a remastered version for PlayStation 4 and PC.
The original Ni No Kuni released back in 2013 in the west, receiving a sequel last year in Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.
We won’t have to wait long to see if the leaks are true, however, with E3 announcements already rolling out in a new Destroy All Humans and Watch Dogs Legion.
