Horizon Forbidden West’s Latest Trailer Reveals New Tribes Riding Ancient Enemies
The countdown to Horizon Forbidden West is on. Although it's still more than a month away, we're learning more and more about Forbidden West's world thanks to more trailers from Guerilla Games.
Its latest teaser brings us closer to the Forbidden West than we've ever been to learn more about the tribes that inhabit this desolate and dangerous part of the world. Each tribe has its own land, its own customs, and its own secrets.
First, we learn about the Oseram on the eastern edge of the Sundom. This tribe seems to be the most industrious of them all, with crafters building sturdy structures and intricately-designed garments. A pillar of smoke marks the city in which the Oseram live and its dedication towards progress.
Second is the Carja. A guarded and untrusting lot, they build tall walls to keep outsiders on the outside. They'll likely be the hardest tribe for Aloy to befriend if she even can.
Next, we see the unfortunate Utaru. Located on the blighted fields of Plainsong where a red plague consumes both biological and robotic life. A devout people, the Utaru attempt to drive away the plague through song, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Finally, we arrive at the Tenakth people. Composed of three clans who've waged war for generations, the Tenakth are fierce warriors that seem unable to let go of their violent ways. Which might actually be for the best as Regalla and her rebels storm into the Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden Wests will arrive on February 18, 2022, but it won't be the only new Horizon experience we get. Horizon Call of the Mountain was just announced for the recently revealed PS VR2 and its fancy 4K OLED HDR headset. The extremely short teaser only showed Aloy speaking to a new character in a boat before almost getting stepped on by a Tallneck, but it looked like the player would have to wave their hands around to try to paddle their way to safety.
