It Takes Two: Meditation Maestro Guide

Hazelight Studios released It Takes Two to the surprise of many people. This cooperative action platformer focuses on a pair of troubled parents. May and Cody are set on divorce, and the turmoil is hurting their daughter, Rose. In a desperate attempt to reunite her family, Rose wishes that her parents could get along again. This wish transforms them into living dolls, and the only way they can revert is by fulfilling their daughter’s wish.

While many are playing It Takes Two for the excellent story, gameplay, and cooperative experience, completionists aim to earn each of the game’s trophies. There are 21 tasks to complete, a relatively small list for all of the game’s achievements.

Those interested in grabbing all the trophies will have to earn “Meditation Maestro. Follow this list of instructions to grab this trophy with ease, removing the hassle of deciphering the game’s cryptic trophy descriptions.

Select The “Symphony” Checkpoint In The Attic

Unlocking the “Meditation Maestro” trophy requires players to find a specific area in “The Attic”. Players can find this secret room in the Symphony Checkpoint. Those who have completed this area of the game can return via Chapter Select.

First-time players should keep an eye out for the scenery that resembles this area’s header image (shown above.) You’ll know that this area is coming up when Dr. Hakim asks Cody and May to assemble an orchestra.

Progress Until May And Cody Get Jetpacks

Once Cody and May make their way into this section, Dr. Hakim will give them jetpacks and task them with collecting musical notes to unlock two gates. Instead of following his orders, head off to the right. You’ll see a bronze building not too far from the troubled couple. This is your destination.

Those interested in tracking down all the minigames should head directly below the starting platform for this section, as the Volleyball minigame rests underneath (shown on Cody’s screen above.) Finding each minigame is an essential goal for those aiming to earn the “Minigame Megalovania” trophy. Is this a shout-out to Undertale?

Travel To The Bronze Tent Below

Once you start making your way down to the bronze building, you’ll see that it’s filled with pillows and curtains. There are even two platforms in this display center, one for Cody and one for May.

Sit On One Of The Platforms To Unlock The Trophy

To earn the ‘Meditation Maestro’ trophy, Cody and May must hop on top of the platforms and meditate for a few seconds. When Cody and May get close, they’ll see a button prompt above the objects in question that allows them to sit down.

Unlike other trophies in the game, each player will have to unlock this individually, making sure that both players head to this room and rest inside. Once the trophy pops, you’re free to resume playing the story, or you can check out one of our other guides to help you track down the rest of the game’s trophies.
