Kena Adds Three New Rot Hats For Christmas
Developer Ember Lab is bringing some Holiday cheer to Kena: Bridge of Spirits with some festive in-game items. A recent update has added three new Holiday-themed hats for players to discover. The hats, which can be placed on the heads of Kena’s Rot companions, will only be around for a limited time so players shouldn’t hesitate to hunt them all down.
Ember Lab took to Twitter to announce the addition of the hats in the game’s 1.14 update. Keeping with the festive theme, Ember Labs chose to make the announcement through a fun Holiday jingle. The tweet also shows off what the three hats look like on the adorable Rot creatures. The first hat is an old-timey top hat with a sprig of holly berries reminiscent of one seen in classic Christmas movies like “A Christmas Carol”. The next hat is a tall and striped elf-themed number complete with jingle bells. Finally, there is a red and white Santa hat to complete the festive atmosphere.
These new hats will only be available until January 1, so players will need to find them quickly if they want to add some Christmas cuteness to their game. After then the hats will disappear, but those that are lucky to nab them in the timeframe will keep them in their inventory permanently. Players will need to complete three challenge chests to pick up the fun hats.
This isn’t the first time that Ember Lab has brought some Holiday fun to its action-adventure game. Back in October, the developer added some adorable Halloween hats for players to find. Like the Christmas update, these hats were only available for a short time. Perhaps this is the beginning of a trend for the game and fans can expect some themed hats every major Holiday. Those Rot critters sure would look cute in some Easter egg hats.
Beyond the added hats, Kena’s newest update also offers some “minor bug fixes” but doesn’t go into detail on what those are. Since its launch back in September, Kena has been praised for its beautiful graphics and even nabbed a Game of the Year nomination at this year’s Game Awards. If you haven’t hopped into the enchanting world of Kena, it is available now on PS4 and PS5.
