Alice X. Zhang, an llustrator for Marvel, BBC Worldwide, Disney, DC Films, Lucasfilm, Naughty Dog and Team Liquid, has created an amazing mock-up of HBO’s upcoming The Last of Us series.

The Chinese-American artist, who has created prints celebrating television shows and films like Black Mirror, Blade Runner, Doctor Who, Killing Eve, Peaky Blinders, Sherlock, The Witcher and Wonder Woman, among numerous others, tweeted her tribute to The Last of Us with the caption, “Me pretending to work for The Last of Us on HBO.”

Zhang, who is known for her expressive portraits, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a B.F.A, and started a full-time freelance career in the film, comic, and gaming industries. Her clients have included Marvel, BBC Worldwide (Doctor Who, Sherlock), DC Films, Lucasfilm (Star Wars), Naughty Dog (The Last of Us: Part II), Team Liquid, and Disney Books (Powers of a Girl).

She has also had two solo exhibitions at Bottleneck Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which specializes in limited edition pop-culture, gig and alternative movie posters. Zhang first found popularity online but soon attracted the interest of actors and filmmakers.

“I got popular after I started posting fan art on Tumblr, back in the day when everyone was on Tumblr,” Zhang told SyFy. Soon after, a fan introduced her work to Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch, who showed it to producer Sue Vertue. Eventually, Zhang’s portraits of the Sherlock cast made their way to Hartswood Studios and were officially licensed.

Her fans nowadays include Zendaya and Rihanna, who have shared her illustrations of looks from the MET galas and various photo shoots on their Instagram. Her prints have also been featured on clothing, rugs, cushions and clocks, among countless over items.

The HBO adaptation of The Last of Us, based on the critically acclaimed 2013 action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, is currently in development. The series is being written by Druckmann and Craig Mazin and will star Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.
