No Man’s Sky Beyond Release Date: Next update leaked and coming sooner than you think
It’s been a good few months since Sean Murray and the Hello Games team first announced the next big content update for No Man’s Sky, but we could finally get some more news on the expansion’s release date soon.
Since No Man’s Sky’s awkward launch back in 2016, the game has gone from strength to strength, with the development studio winning over players with the fantastic No Man’s Sky NEXT update which came out last year.
The new update promises once again to reinvigorate the game – this time by introducing No Man’s Sky Beyond, and adding VR to the game.
Early adopters of No Man’s Sky have been keen to play the title in VR since it launched, and now – thanks to a leak from the Australian classifications board – it looks like we’re closer than ever to the most immersive version of NMS.
We first saw the classification for the latest iteration of the exploration game via the “AusVGClassifications” Twitter account.
The listing states:
NO MAN’S SKY BEYOND,
Computer Games, Multi Platform, Rating: PG, Author: HELLO GAMES, Publisher: SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT, Consumer AdviceMild science fiction themes and violence, online interactivity
Previously, we’d only had the nice and vague ‘summer 2019’ release date to go on for the arrival of the update. At least with the classification being pushed through, we can expect to see Beyond launch in the coming weeks.
The listing for Beyond on the actual rating board doesn’t divulge and any exciting or revealing information, but it does indicate that the Hello Games team is pushing the update through.
This new update will also bring the highly-requested online multiplayer mode to the game – expect to hear more about No Man’s Sky Beyond from Sony or Hello Games in the not-too-distant future.
