Pokemon Go is celebrating the changing of the seasons with their Spring into Spring event. It kicks off on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 10am and runs until Monday, April 18, 2022, at 8pm local time.

During this event you will encounter themed Pokemon in the wild, and benefit from a number of bonuses. There will be limited-time events that take place throughout the window, giving you additional bonuses and encounters with more themed Pokemon. Learning everything there is to know about this event will ensure that you are taking advantage of all its benefits fully.

Spring Into Spring

As expected, the event centers around the theme of springtime. The following bonuses will be available throughout the entirety of Spring into Spring.

Pokemon Debuts

There will be new, event-themed Pokemon appearing during this event. Togetic, Togekiss, and Lopunny can be found in brand-new costumes throughout this event, sporting fashionable flower crowns.

Additionally, the Legendary Pokemon Tapu Bulu will be making its Pokemon Go debut. You can find and catch this Pokemon in Five-Star Raids during the event window.

Event Bonuses

The following bonuses will be active for all trainers during the Spring into Spring events:

  • 2x Hatch Candy
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance
  • 2x Lucky Egg Duration
  • Team Go Rocket grunts will have more Shadow Whismur and Exeggcute in their parties

These bonuses will remain active during limited-time events that take place within the Spring into Spring event.

Wild Encounters

There will be a number of Pokemon with higher encounter rates during this event, many wearing springtime costumes. Event-themed Pokemon that can be encountered during this window are as follows:

  • Pikachu (wearing a flower crown)
  • Nidoran (male and female)
  • Jigglypuff
  • Eevee (wearing a flower crown)
  • Whismur
  • Buneary (wearing a flower crown)
  • Bunnelby
  • Chansey (wearing a flower crown)
  • Togetic (wearing a flower crown)

Eggs

In addition to the hatch candy bonus and hatch distance reduction, event-themed Pokemon will be hatching from eggs during the Spring into Spring event. The following Pokemon can be hatched from eggs during this event.

  • Pichu (wearing a flower crown)
  • Igglybuff
  • Azurill
  • Munchlax
  • Happiny (wearing a flower crown)
  • Togepi (wearing a flower crown)
  • Exeggcute
  • Chingling
  • Riolu

Field Research Task Encounters

You can encounter event-themed Pokemon when completing Field Research tasks during the event window. The following Pokemon can be caught:

  • Eevee (wearing a flower crown)
  • Pikachu (wearing a flower crown)
  • Buneary (wearing a flower crown)
  • Chansey (wearing a flower crown)

New Collection Challenge And Stickers

There will be a new Collection Challenge available to players. This will require you to collect event-themed Pokemon throughout this event. You will be rewarded with a new Elite Collector medal, 2,000 XP, 2,000 Stardust, and an encounter with Togetic wearing a flower crown.

New stickers will also be available once the event has begun. These can be acquired by spinning PokeStops, opening gifts, or purchasing them from the shop. They'll also be available for the rest of the season.

Limited Research Day: An Egg-citing Spring Surprise

The Limited Research Day: An Egg-citing Spring Surprise will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 11am to 2pm local time. Similar to a Community Day, there will be a Featured Pokemon during this window, appearing more frequently and possessing a unique attack. A 2x Catch XP bonus will be active during this time, stacking on top of the benefits already given for the Spring into Spring event.

Featured Pokemon: Exeggcute

Completing Limited Research tasks will result in encountering the Featured Pokemon, Exeggcute. Players can obtain these tasks from spinning PokeStops during the Limited Research Day.

You will be able to evolve Exeggcute into Alolan Exeggcutor during this event. Once evolved, this Pokemon will learn the Charged Attack Draco Meteor. Exeggcutor's ability to obtain this Dragon-Type move is exclusive to this event, wielding 150 attack power.

Wild Encounters

During this three-hour event window, you will encounter specific Pokemon in the wild. These Pokemon with increased spawn rates at this time can be seen below.

  • Bulbasaur
  • Oddish
  • Paras
  • Bellsprout
  • Tangela
  • Chikorita
  • Sunkern
  • Treecko
  • Seedot

Go Battle Day: Beginner's Paradise

On Sunday, April 17, 2022, from 12am to 11:59pm local time, Pokemon Go is encouraging beginners to participate in the Go Battle League. The Great League and Little Cup will be active during this day, both proving to be beginner-friendly competitions. There will be XP for Timed Research available, as well as a new obtainable avatar item during this window.

Ula'ula Island Special Research

This Special Research will be available to collect from April 12, 2022, to June 1, 2022. Throughout the season, complete these research missions to earn rewards and learn more about the various Alolan islands. If the Ula'ula Island Special Research is completed by June 1, 2022, you will unlock a bonus Special Research line at the end of the season.
