Pokemon Go has brought several new features to the game with its latest season, the Season of Light. One of the more notable additions is the introduction of Ultra Beasts, extremely powerful creatures from Gen 7, rivaling the strength and power of other Legendary Pokemon.
As a way to conclude the Season of Light, Pokemon Go is hosting an in-game event, the Ultra Beast Arrival Event, taking place in two separate parts. The "In-Person" portion of this event will take place on November 26, followed by the "Global" event on November 27, from 11am to 5pm local time.
In-Person Battles
There will be two In-Person Battle events for this event on November 26, one taking place in London, UK, and one taking place in Los Angeles, CA. The London In-Person Battles will begin at 6pm local time and the Los Angeles In-Person Battles will being at 7pm local time.
Attendees can expect to encounter and battle several Ultra Beasts at either of these events, proving to be an excellent opportunity to catch different Ultra Beasts prior to the end of this Pokemon Go season.
Global Ultra Beast Raids
During the "Global" portion of this event, Ultra Beasts will be populating Five-Star Raids throughout the world. The Ultra Beasts you can find in these Raids will differ based on which region you are playing in, each region offering multiple Ultra Beasts to battle and catch during this window.
Make sure to group up with other Trainers to take on these difficult Raids, giving you the opportunity to catch these rare creatures prior to the end of the Season of Light. Each of these Ultra Beasts can be found below, accompanied by the regions that you can find them in.

Group Raid Bonuses
There will be group bonuses when you successfully complete Raids against Ultra Beasts during this event window. For a brief period of time, the following Pokemon will spawn around the Gym where each Ultra Beast was knocked-out.
- Magmar
- Absol
- Frillish
- Machoke
- Scyther
- Gulpin
- Dedenne
- Minccino
Minccino that spawn and are encountered due to this group bonus will have higher odds of being Shiny than normal.
Friend Referral Bonus
Up until November 26, Pokemon Go will be tracking the number of Trainers that join the game through friend referrals, providing all players with bonuses when specific milestones are reached. These different bonuses can be found below with the number of friend referrals required to obtain them.

Event Timed Research
There will be Timed Research available during the Ultra Beast Arrival Event. This Timed Research will require you to battle in and successfully complete different Raids during this event window.
Make sure to progress through and complete the different research tasks before this event concludes to encounter and catch different Ultra Beasts, each provided below.

Event Bonuses
There will be three different event bonuses available for all players who log in and play during the Ultra Beast Arrival Event. Make sure to play Pokemon Go and participate in this event to enjoy the following in-game bonuses.
- 1.25x XP when you defeat Ultra Beasts in Raids
- Higher chance of earning Candy XL for completing in-person Raids
- Five free Raid Passes for spinning Photo Discs at Pokemon Gyms (up to two hours after the event)
