PS Plus May 2019 free PS4 games countdown: Sony reveal time, PlayStation Plus LEAKS, more

After an extra long wait, the PlayStation Plus free PS4 games for May 2019 are about to be revealed.

PS Plus subscribers can download two free PS4 games every month as part of their subscription.

And the time has finally come for Sony to reveal the PlayStation Plus free games for May.

Slightly later than usual, Sony will officially reveal the free PS4 games at 4.30pm on Wednesday, May 1.

The free PlayStation Plus games will be available to download less than a week later on Tuesday, May 7.

Let’s just hope they’re better than the Xbox Live Games with Gold lineup for May 2019.

It’s possible, however, that the PS Plus freebies may have leaked early.

It was recently revealed that PlayStation Plus members in Japan will be able to download Metal Gear Survive and Darksiders Warmastered Edition for free in May 2019.

That’s according to the Japanese PlayStation blog, which made the announcement late last week.

With Sony traditionally offering a multiplayer game as part of PS Plus, the leaked Japanese lineup would make a lot of sense.

Metal Gear Survive is an online multiplayer survival game with co-operative elements.

“Metal Gear Survive builds upon Metal Gear Solid V’s enduring stealth action gameplay while introducing the new elements of exploration and survival to create a bold new experience,” reads a Sony description.

“Create your own character and learn to survive. Scavenge resources, craft weapons, build a base camp and explore the unknown while developing the survival skills necessary in this hostile environment.”

Darksiders Warmastered Edition, on the other hand, is a third-person action game.

“Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War – the first Horseman of the Apocalypse – stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell,” reads the official description.

“In the slaughter that ensued, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly hosts and laid claim to the Earth.

“Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible.”
