These New Pokémon Plushes Are Certified Big Chungi

New from the Pokémon Center, Super Gigantamax Pokémon plush dolls! Just released in Japan, this duo is truly huge and brings to life the giant versions of Pikachu and Meowth from Pokémon Sword and Shield.

The latest version of the Pokémon game franchise, Pokémon Sword and Shield, brought with it a new form of evolution, a special variant of Dynamaxing known as Gigantamaxing. This temporary transformation creates an exaggerated, humongous, specially powered version of certain Pokémon for a limited time. The Pokémon Center had already released pint-sized versions of these Pikachu and Meowth dolls, but now they’ve truly Gigantamaxed things.

These Super Gigantamaxed pulshies are roughly four times the size of the standard Gigantamax dolls, with Super Gigantamax Pikachu coming in at 31 inches tall, 24 inches wide, and weighing about almost 10 pounds. The size isn’t the only thing that’s increased, the price of these dolls is nearly as large as they are. That Pikachu we were just talking about costs around $411. The same is true for the Meowth doll, which is roughly as tall as an average adult woman at 5’5 and costs $308.

These super sized dolls will be sold in limited supply and created as made to order merchandise. Pre-order is available now and are due to ship out in October of this year.

These chonky boys are ideal for cuddling and could potentially be used as a means of self-defense if need be—just like real Pokémon. The Pokémon Center really took “go big or go home” to heart with these new toys.
