A big Call of Duty playlist patch has been launched today that removes the dominance of the Buy-Back mode and makes it possible to play a normal match in Verdansk. For those that don’t know, Buy Back makes it possible to keep dropping back into a game as long as you have $4500 to spend.
This option is only disabled during the final stages and leaves teammates having to use Buy Stations. The new playlist update for Warzone brings back several normal modes today, including the following:
Added September 3
- Verdansk – BR – All Squads
- Verdansk – Blood Money – Trios
- Verdansk – Armored Royale
Removed September 3
- Verdansk – Buy Backs – All
- Verdansk – Plunder – Quads
- Verdansk – Payload
Armoured Royale returns today but some gamers are wondering how long it might last.
Several times in the past, Activision has relaunched Armoured Royale only to have to remove it again due to exploit issues.
Here’s the current description of the rules to playing Armoured Royale: “Just like a standard Battle Royale Quads, squads of up to four players will infiltrate Verdansk with only a pistol to their name and will have to scavenge for weapons, equipment, and Cash.
“With the option to bring in their own custom Loadouts via Loadout Drops, squads will encounter and engage enemy squads while avoiding the deadly circle collapse in order to be the last team standing.
“Despite these similarities, there is one massive, hulking, and motorized difference between a Battle Royale and an Armored Royale: the Armored Cargo Truck, which brings a few new mechanics that amp up the Warzone formula via heavy vehicular-based combat.”
Call of Duty shows off PC graphics in Black Ops Cold War trailer
This will mean new modes, map and weapons being launched across Warzone and Cold War, with a new event also being teased.
This will be held in Call of Duty Warzone on September 21, with Activision revealing to fans today:
“Around the world, from the warzone of Verdansk to a Zoo in the Ural Mountains, there are reports of Operators on both sides hearing an unfamiliar voice reciting numbers in their earpieces.
“A few have described seeing these “numbers” as a strange visual hallucination, leaving them questioning their own mental states.
“These are only reports from the Operators who have returned to base. Others appear to have gone rogue, suddenly turning on their squadmates mid-battle.
Evidence is mounting that these rogue Operators are now only responding to orders from Perseus… The numbers… what do they mean?”
