Xbox new secret surprise feature is fantastic! But not everyone can use it yet
Xbox One is getting a new surprise feature you never knew you wanted.
The “Surprise Me” bottom will allow players to shuffle through their backlog at random.
This is the perfect addition for Xbox One owners who struggle picking what game to play next.
It’s also a nice addition for those who want to stumble upon an old game from the backlog they had forgotten about.
The Xbox Insider Twitter account posted a screenshot of the latest Alpha Skip-Ahead function of Xbox.
Gamers will see a new button which looks like an open box icon – or the Surprise Me button.

Clicking the button won’t automatically launch the game it picks from the Xbox One games library.
This means, if you aren’t happy with the game that was selected at random, you can go again.
But before you get too excited – keep in mind not everyone will be able to use it right now.
Microsoft is only allowing those who are part of the Xbox One insider testing program to try out the function.
If you’re desperate to see what the function looks like, a short video has been uploaded to Reddit.

But if you are part of the Xbox Insider program you can already start using it today.
If you use Xbox Game Pass you will already be familiar with this function.
Those who have Xbox Game Pass can select a game at random from the hundreds of available games on the service.
It’s likely the function is being added to Xbox because players are spoiled for choice.
One player said on Twitter: “Great feature for me. I have over 200 games and sometimes I just sit there deciding what to play.”
Another said: “I have over 1000 games and get sick of scrolling up and down for ages.”
