Destiny 2’s Season of Opulence Exotics include a few returning favorites
Destiny 2’s latest expansion, Season of Opulence, is here and that means a few new — or sort of new — Exotics have been added to the game. According to dataminers, it looks like there are already about four new Exotics in the game with a few more possibly coming down the road.
For now, only one new Exotic gun is officially in the game: Tarrabah. This new weapon is an SMG that stores power that can be released whenever you want. As for guns on the way, Truth, a homing rocket launcher, is coming later on. There’s also been a datamine of a catalyst for Bad Juju, a popular Exotic from the original Destiny, which suggests that the weapon may make its way to Destiny 2 in the near future.
So far the only pieces of armor that have been found for Season of Opulence are updates of original Destiny Exotics. Khepri’s Sting has been updated to cast Smoke Bomb if you melee an enemy with full energy. Astrocyte Verse still effects Warlock’s Blink jumps but it allows them to Blink more often rather than gain Recovery like it did in the first Destiny. Finally Peregrine Greaves, which are basically the exact same as they was before: If a Titan uses a charge ability in the air you will deal additional damage.
It’s unclear at the moment how each of these can be acquired. While some (like Truth) are earned by completing specific quests, at least a few of these pieces and weapons are likely to be randomly dropped. We’ll likely know a lot more as the day goes on.
Tarrabah — Submachine Gun
Ravenous Beast: This weapon stores power when dealing or receiving damage. Once full, hold reload to unleash the beast.
Truth — Rocket Launcher
Prototype Trueseeker: This weapon’s rockets have tracking. Lock onto targets when aiming down sights.
Khepri’s Sting — Hunter Arms
Touch of Venom: Punching someone with full melee energy will instantly cast Smoke Bomb. Gain Truesight while in your Smoke Bomb effect.
Astrocyte Verse — Warlock Helmet
Move to Survive: Blink further and more frequently. Weapon readies quickly out of Blink and Radar remains up.
Peregrine Greaves — Titan Legs
Peregrine Strike: All shoulder charge abilities (Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash) deal bonus damage when activated in the air.
