Destiny 2 Xur location and items, Oct. 11-14

If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, you can find Xur in The Tower Hangar, standing behind the Dead Orbit vendor.

Xur’s inventory caps out at 931 if you’re 950. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces.

The Jade Rabbit

The Jade Rabbit is a returning Exotic from Destiny. This scout rifle, which was once a PlayStation exclusive, has only one notable perk. The Fate of All Fools Exotic perk causes chained body shots to stack damage on your next precision shot and return ammo to the magazine. The weapon also comes with bonus stability and rounds that deal extra damage to shields.

The Jade Rabbit is much better due to the recent bump in scout rifle damage. If you don’t have this one yet, you should pick it up.

Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves

These gauntlets are all sidearms all the time, with its Exotic perk Spring-loaded Mounting. Swapping to a sidearm increases its ready and reload speed. If you’re wounded, it also increases the sidearm’s damage.

Unfortunately, you still need to use a sidearm to get the most out of these. They’re worth grabbing if you love bizarre crucible builds centered around sidearms. But they’re a skip in any other situation.

Xur’s roll this week is Solar, and comes with 48 total stats.

Ashen Wake

Ashen Wake is one of the exotics from Destiny 2: Warmind. Its main exotic perk is Bring the Heat, which causes the Fusion Grenades used by solar Titans to explode immediately on impact and travel faster in mid-air. This is a cool exotic on paper, but it doesn’t actually add any damage to your grenades.

Ashen Wake is a hard sell for your single exotic spot when other grenade-related exotics like the Armamentarium exist. However, the effect is still fun to use, especially if you’re accustomed to more of the instant gratification that comes with the Striker’s Pulse Grenades. Pick these up if you’re a collector, or hammer Titan enthusiast.

Xur’s roll this week is Solar, and comes with 48 total stats.

The Stag

A returning exotic from Destiny (in name and look at least), The Stag’s exotic perk, Dearly Departed, gives you Rift energy when you’re close to death. When you die, you’ll also drop a healing rift under your feet. This exotic has some great stats and some interesting perks.

Perks that force you to die to be useful usually aren’t great. However, this helmet has potential to help you learn difficult encounters. If you’re a serious Trials player or want some extra survivability when learning the next Raid Lair, this helmet is worth your Legendary Shards.

Xur’s roll this week is Void, and comes with 48 total stats.

Invitation

If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
