Zombie Shooter Arizona Sunshine is Coming to Oculus Quest
For the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2019 this week Vertigo Games has announced its next major virtual reality (VR) project After the Fall. But that’s not all, the studio has been working to make flagship experience Arizona Sunshine even more accessible by porting it to standalone headset Oculus Quest.
There are quite a few developers excited by the wireless freedom of Oculus Quest and Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive are no different. The Oculus Quest version will include the same features as those found on Oculus Rift or PlayStation VR, with a story campaign which can be enjoyed solo or with a friend in co-op. The endless multiplayer Horde mode will also be available, allowing up to four gamers to team up against the zombie hordes.
“We’re excited to be bringing Arizona Sunshine to the headset of freedom and possibilities later this year,” said Arjen van Heck, Programmer at Vertigo Games in a statement. “It will be the VR zombie shooting experience players have come to love, rebuilt entirely for Oculus Quest.”
Not only that, Vertigo Games has confirmed that Arizona Sunshine – The Damned DLC will come to Oculus Quest. Revealed a couple of months ago, the expansion will be the biggest yet for the videogame, a prequel to the main storyline where you and a team of US Special Forces need to reactivate the generators of a massive Arizonan hydroelectric dam to restore power to the military’s nuclear missile systems.
Arizona Sunshine – The Damned DLC will be released on 27th August 2019 for all supported platforms, check out the new trailer below. Vertigo Games hasn’t given a date for the launch on Oculus Quest, simply stating 2019. As it’ll include the DLC, it’s likely the Quest version will arrive after the DLC date.
This past week has seen a number of titles ported over to Oculus Quest. Carbon Studio has brought The Wizards – Enhanced Edition to the device, Survios has done the same with Electronauts and Yomuneco Inc has released Swords of Gargantua. Plenty to keep new owners busy.
VRFocus will continue its coverage of Arizona Sunshine and Vertigo Games, reporting back with the latest updates.
