SteelSeries’ award-winning Arctis headset comes to Xbox One

The SteelSeries Arctis line of gaming headsets is coming to Xbox One, SteelSeries and Microsoft announced on Tuesday. The new headset, dubbed the Arctis 9X, is available now, exclusively at GameStop and SteelSeries’ website.

In addition to a retractable microphone and 20-hour battery life, the Arctis 9X boasts a similar dual wireless connection as the popular Arctis Pro Wireless headset. That means it can connect to the Xbox One via Xbox Wireless Connection and a Bluetooth-enabled device at the same time, so you can listen to music or take calls while gaming.

Headsets from the Arctis line were recommended three times in Polygon’s 2018 list of best gaming headsets. SteelSeries compares the new model to the Artcis Pro, which was our top recommended PlayStation 4 headset in that 2018 list and runner up for PC.

According to SteelSeries, Arctis is the most awarded headset line of all time; the 9X has already won two design awards, the iF Gold Design Award 2019 and a Red Dot Design Award.

The SteelSeries Arctis 9X is available now for $199.99, only at GameStop and directly from SteelSeries. Amazon and Best Buy will carry the headset eventually, but no timeline has been given on when to expect that.
